The LOLAWOLF frontwoman is teaming up with the cosmetics brand for a social media collaboration.
Zoe Kravitz — whose fierce Yves Saint Laurent makeup look at the Met Ball on Monday night was her latest beauty coup — has been selected as the brand’s new U.S. muse.
Beginning in May, YSL Beauty is teaming up with the indie actor and musician on a social media collaboration. Set to debut across the brand’s channels as well as Kravtiz’s own social media platforms, the exclusive content will showcase Kravitz’s favorite makeup looks and tips.
“YSL has always been one of my favorite brands. Their ability to combine the chicest of style with a raw edge has always been to me one of the best ways to express yourself through fashion and beauty. Nothing is forced, nothing is fake, but everything is bold, strong, and unafraid,” said Kravitz in an official statement.
“As a YSL Beauty muse, Zoe represents the brand’s vision of beauty, appealing to women of all ethnicities to become empowered through style and beauty,” added Alexandre Choueiri, president of L’Oreal International Designer Collections Division.
As part of the partnership, Kravitz will also star in the cosmetic brand’s new video, “Before the Light.” The project, which will be filmed in Los Angeles on May 5, will showcase the transformative power of makeup for up-and-coming musicians around the world.
It’s the latest in a line of projects keeping Kravitz on her feet this summer; in addition to shooting the HBO miniseries Big Little Lies, the daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet is also set to tour with her band, LOLAWOLF.
